The focus of our camps are to have a fun and safe riding and horsemanship experience. Many life lessons are learned by working with and riding horses. For example, communications skills with the horse and other riders, responsibility for taking care of the horse you love, and commitment to doing the best you can for the horse and yourself.
2019 SUMMER CAMP DATES
Beginner camp: June 17-21
Beginner/intermediate camp: June 24-28 & July 8-12
Intermediate camp: July 15-19 & July 29-Aug 2
Advanced camp: Aug 5-9
*If campers are in a regular lesson program there will be a 10% discount on camp price. Please pay by cash or check to receive the discount, we cannot accommodate it when paying by credit card.
Camp begins promptly at 8:30AM and ends at 2:00PM.
- 8:30 – 9:30 Feed Horses
- 9:30 – 10:30 Group A Rides/Group B Barn Activities
- 10:30 – 12:00 Group B Rides/Group A Barn Activities
- 12:00 – 12:30 Lunch
- 12:30 – 1:00 Horsemanship and Grooming Techniques
- 1:00 – 2:00 Free time and Pick Up
- Note: After Camp Care is available Monday thru Thursday from 2:00 pm to 5pm. Charge is an extra $35 per day.
*We do not accept campers under the age of 5. If your child is unsure of horses or nervous, we recommend booking an introductory lesson to assess if horse camp is suited to your child – we want all campers to enjoy themselves! Use our contact page to get started.
What to Bring:
Each camper will need to bring a lunch, water bottle, sun block and a smile.
Beginner Camps: $400/per camper, Ages 5+
*Beginner camp fee is more than the other camps due to the need for a “walker” – someone to walk alongside the horse, or hold if need be, to ensure the safety of beginner riders
Intermediate Camps: $350/per camper–campers must be able to tack up a horse by themselves, steer, walk, and trot confidently
Advanced Camps: $350/per camper–campers must be comfortable jumping 2’3″, Ages 10+
**You are encouraged to bring your own horse for the advanced camp and there is no camper age limitation. We will go over many training techniques and can help with any problems you are currently having with your horse. There will also be a discount to those that bring their own horse to the RHS advanced summer camp**

Cancellation Policy: Due to limited space at our camp, there is a $200 non-refundable fee to hold your camper’s spot. If you are unsure whether your child will enjoy horse camp, we recommend booking an introductory lesson first – use our contact form to get started.
