After School Program
The after school program (ASP) at Rolling Hills Stables is planed in such a way to give your child the chance to complete homework, unwind from the school day and hands-on learning. This type of environment will help your child feel focused, serene, and cheerful. Your child will be well supervised, have the ability to move around the farm or help out in the barn.
Our program is centered in our main barn as well as our dedicated after school room. You child is welcome to eat snacks that they bring from home when they arrive at the farm daily. They can also receive help with homework too!
Every day from 4:30- 5:30 your child can choose a focused activity of their choice. Work with the horses and goats, craft time, or just free play in the yard and more. Your child can also be enrolled in our horsemanship enrichment class (for an additional fee) Your child has choices at Rolling Hills Stables.
Sign up is easy… You have the flexibility to decide what is best for your child. You can sign your child (children) for one day or multiple days per week, Monday – Friday. If an extra day is needed, no problem, just let us know. As long as it is within our policy we can even change your child’s schedule without any additional cost. We will work with you however we can.
Logistics and Scheduling… The Rolling Hills Stables ASP hours from 3:00pm to 6:00pm each day. We serve most schools in Chapel Hill and Carborro. The Rolling Hills Stables ASP van can pick up your child from their school and bring the to the farm. Some school busses can drop off your child at Rolling Hills Stables at the parent’s request.
Dress code- We strongly encourage your child to dress for outside activities. Including boots and rain coat. We have lockers available for your child to keep such items at the farm.
Payment for ASP… Payments are due in full at the 1st of every month. Do you need to add a day? No problem. Payment for extra day will be due at the day of service.
